御徒町を拠点にする229 Galleryはユニットアーティストを紹介します。YUSHUは個人の存在を未来まで遺すことをコンセプトに制作を続けるビジュアルアーティスト・西村祐馬と銀箔を支持体に貼り、場の環境により生じる物質の変様を提示するアーティスト・福田周平によるユニットです。本展ではそれぞれの作品と、それらの作品をルーツに展開された写真と彫刻の関係性を提示するユニット作品を展示します。

229 Gallery, based in Okachimachi, presents a unit of artists. YUSHU is comprised of Yuma Nishimura, a visual artist who creates work based on the concept of leaving individuals’ existences behind to the future, and Shuhei Fukuda, who applies silver leaf to supports and presents the change in the material caused by surrounding environments. In this exhibition, their individual works will be shown, as well as unit works that present the relationship between sculptures and photographs, which are rooted in, and developed from, these individual works.
