This exhibition features the work of Momo Yamanishi, who won the Grand Prix at the 'T3 STUDENT PROJECT,' a portfolio showcase by students from 14 art universities and vocational schools focused on photography, held during the 'T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYO 2023' last October. Yamanishi’s works include castings made from fossils discovered during a journey through the Himalayas in Nepal, as well as photographs taken with a handmade pinhole camera, inspired by ancient cave dwellings in the area.

山西もも｜YAMANISHI Momo
Born in Osaka in 1995, Yamanishi Momo graduated with a focus in metal casting from Tokyo University of the Arts. Childhood memories of mountain climbing with her father inspired her to join the mountaineering club during her student years, where she scaled mountains in Japan, Alaska, Nepal, and Pakistan. She expresses these journeys through metal sculptures and photography. In 2023, she won the Grand Prix at the T3 STUDENT PROJECT.
