と&|“&”opens a new world.

The word と, meaning "and," is the smallest conjunction in the Japanese language. Yet this single word may shape the way we understand the world.
"Self and other," "man and woman," nature and city"—almost without realizing it, we use "and" as a boundary between opposites that leads us to choose one or the other. At the same time, Asia must surely offer ways of seeing that move beyond binary opposition, as reflected in expressions such as "two sides of the same whole" and "yin and yang." Photography has always been an art form of "and." The gaze of the photographer and the gaze of the subject intersect, and fragments of the world transformed into photographs are arranged and connected, bringing the work and the viewer into a quiet encounter. Over 24 days, T3 2026 brings together photographers from around the world to reconsider the possibilities of our world through the smallest conjunction と.
